Dirt Dandies Elite baseball instructors are the best in Kansas City Kansas, with experience as mentors, players, coaches, and teachers. Each instructor has played on the collegiate or professional level and has been trained to teach the same techniques used on the major league level.

Family members are an important part of the Dirt Dandies Elite instruction model and are encouraged to observe the lessons to help reinforce the training between lessons.

The student leaves each lesson with a written evaluation that includes recommended adjustments that were addressed during the lesson.  Studenrts are also welcome to contact their instructor at any time with questions or comments.

Cle Ross
College: University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff - During his two years in Arkansas playing Division I baseball, Ross broke and still holds numerous single season records, including: most hits in a season(65), highest single season batting average(.377), highest career batting average(.357) most doubles in a season(18), most RBI’s in a season(45) and most total bases in a season (108). He also led his school to the most wins in school history winning the MVP award and becoming the first triple crown winner by leading the team in homeruns, RBI’s and posting the highest batting average. North Central Missouri College- Led the team in batting average (.343.) broke the single season stolen base record (43) had a 18 game hitting streak.  Inducted into the 2017 NCMC Athletic Hall of Fame. Kansas City Kansas Community College: College Walk-on. Never played varsity high school baseball.

Rich Devine
College: Citrus College in Glendora, CA 1995-1997. Two year captain of both Foothill Conference champions….played for Legendary coach Skip Claprood who is the all-time winningest junior college coach in southern California History.  Emporia State: 1997-2000, Two year captain…..Holds the All-time career batting average record of .430 BA and career leader in stolen bases (121)….Also holds the MIAA Conference record for most stolen bases in a single season (58). All Conference/All Region performer each season at ESU.
Professional: Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Rockford Riverhawks
Training: Since 2009 has given baseball fundamental(s) instruction for Mac & Seitz teams, Building Champions, Kansas RBI and numerous individual lessons.



Theo Frost
College: Hutchinson Community College(1993-94)- Freshman season- All Jayhawk conference .365 batting average. Sophomore season- All Jayhawk conference, led the team in batting average (.425), Hits, and RBI’s, second in stolen bases. Starting leftfielder- Jayhawk Conference West All-Star
Professional: Drafted out of High School by the Saint Louis Cardinals


Mike Birmingham
College: Birmingham attended Butler County Community College in El Dorado, KS where he was slated to play basketball and baseball for the grizzlies until he traveled north to NCAA D-III powerhouse, Wartburg College. He immediately contributed on the basketball court and the baseball diamond landing him in the top 10 in the nation in saves on the baseball diamond. Birmingham concluded his athletic eligibility at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he helped the Golden Lions piece together the schools best record in baseball since the conception of the program.
Professional: KC T-Bones – First player ever signed
Training: CEO/Founder Pure Talent Sports Ministry, Birmingham began his coaching career at the age of 19 in Kansas City and has since shared his knowledge at the high school and collegiate levels in baseball, basketball, and football.

College: Wichita State 82 games started, 54 runs, 74 hits, 3 triples, 6 HR’s, 45 RBI’s, .247 Average.

Coffeyville Community College: 1st team NJCAA Division I All-American, KJCCC first team at third base, Jayhawk East MVP, Played in 56 games and hit .434 with 85 runs, 96 hits, 18 doubles, six triples, 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 47 stolen bases.

Shawnee Mission NW: Three year starting shortstop for SMNW. Earned all state and all metro honors. Member of team that placed third at state in 6A during sophomore season. Dirt Dandies Elite Player of the Year.
Professional: Drafted in 2014, 16th round Detroit Tigers





Sean Richardson

College: Kansas-Junior season- Named team MVP and second team All-Big 12 ... Led the team with 69 RBI and finished second with 12 home runs, including a team-high eight during Big 12 play ... Compiled a .332 batting average by collecting 73 hits in 220 at bats ... Finished with 15 doubles ... Led the team with 21 runs and six doubles in conference play ... Was 8-for-14 on stolen base attempts ... The eight steals ranked him third on the team ... Collected a team-high seven RBI in a 4-for-5 effort against Hawaii-Hilo on Jan. 20. Senior Season:  Second team preseason All-Big 12 (Big12Baseball.com), Maintained a career-high 10-game hitting streak from Feb. 16-March 5.  Palomar College: Played two seasons for Bob Vetter at Palomar Junior College ... Was named a first-team NJCAA All-American in 2003 after batting .387 and driving in 47 runs ... Selected to the All-Pacific Coast first team in 2003 ... Ranks third all-time at Palomar with 71 career hits and 47 career RBI.
